The end of the summer

September 21, 2008

It’s official. We are now a day into the fall. We spent the weekend at our camp up in the Muskokas. Our weekend basically consisted of squinting into smoking fires, squashing b*stard mosquitos and listening to the deer mice in the camp alternate between chewing on the walls and getting offed by the peanut butter smeared mouse traps I set up on the countertop. 2-0. Ha, that’ll larn you, you rodent b*stards!

Actually it’s more like 2-1 as the little mongrels gave me one night without sleep before it was off to that Shangri-La of mullets, Wallmart to buy some peanut butter. So how did I celebrate the end of summer? By throwing tetraplegic mice into the Big East River before the 3 little dogs could snack on them I guess that’s accurate enough.
